iBall has silently launched a new Cobalt series budget Android smartphone, the mSLR Cobalt 4, says Mumbai-based mobile retailer, Mahesh Telecom.

The main highlight of the iBall mSLR Cobalt 4  is it comes with a detachable mSLR lens mount, as well as four different lenses. The bundled lenses include a zoom lens with 8x zoom, a fisheye lens with a 175-180 degree viewing angle, a macro lens with 10x magnification and minimum object distance of 10-15mm, and a wide-angle lens with a 130-degree viewing angle. The company is also offering a free clip included that allows you to mount the lens on the front camera for quality selfies.

The iBall mSLR Cobalt 4  features a 5-inch IPS qHD display and runs Android 4.4 KitKat OS out of the box. The phone supports 15 regional languages and is also backed by an octa-core MediaTek processor (chipset unknown), aided by 1GB of RAM.

The mSLR Cobalt 4 smartphone is powered by a 2,000mAh battery. It houses an 8MP rear camera on board with a dual-LED flash and autofocus; while there is also a 3.2MP front-facing shooter with a soft LED flash for selfies. The built-in 8GB of internal memory is further expandable with up to 32GB via a microSD card.

Connectivity option include in iBall mSLR Cobalt 4 as dual-SIM with dual standby, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and HotKnot. It is priced at Rs 8,999, and is reportedly available in brick and mortar stores across India at a discounted price tag of Rs 8,250. iBall is also offering a free pouch, protective case and cleaning cloth for the lenses.
