Huawei held an “Unlocked” event in New York City and launched the P8 Lite for $250.
Huawei P8 Lite comes with a 5-inch Gorilla Glass-coated 720p screen and packs an octa-core Snapdragon 615 chipset, along with a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 2,200mAh battery. As far as RAM is concerned, it has a 2GB capacity with an expandable memory of 16 GB. The global version of the smartphone packs a Kirin 620 SoC.
One notable thing is that the US version of the P8 lite runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat-based Emotion UI 3.0. This phone boots on the global variation but in the guise of Android Lollipop. It also has Bluetooth 4.0, MicroUSB 2.0, LTE, and Wi-Fi b/g/n as connectivity options. The physical measures of the smartphone are 143 x 70.6 x 7.7 mm.
Huawei P8 Lite comes in multiple color options like white/gold or black/gray from the manufacturer’s online store. These are available through several major retailers like Amazon and Best Buy, among others. The good news about the warranty of this smartphone is a whopping 2 years long duration.
