Huawei MediaPad X2 with 7-inch FHD display & Octa-Core 64-bit SoC

Today, at MWC 2015, Huawei has unveiled a new phablet, the MediaPad X2. It features a fully laminated 7-inch ultra HD (1200 x 1920 pixels / 323ppi) IPS LTPS screen and a slim body of only 7.28 mm.

The MediaPad X2 is powered by a 64-Bit octa-core 2GHz Kirin 930 processor that supports dual-SIM (4G LTE+4G LTE) with dual standby functionality.

Built with aviation aluminum metal texture, the Huawei MediaPad X2 comes with a wide-angle spanning up to 178 degrees, ensures optimal visual display even when the device is tilted. The  HD touch display provides an incredibly crisp and dynamic visual experience, while CABC technology will automatically adjust screen brightness to ensure efficient battery management.

The Huawei MediaPad X2 supports LTE Cat6 connectivity with a download speed of up to 300 Mbps. The 64-bit GPU Mali-T628 and i3 micro-core provide the Huawei MediaPad X2 with an unprecedentedly strong entertainment experience for users, allowing them to play large-scale 3D games. With the Smart PA chip and a DTS surround sound technology, the Huawei MediaPad X2 ensures cinematic sound quality for video and movie lovers.

The MediaPad X2 runs on a 5000 mAh Li-Polymer battery, which is the largest capacity in the industry. It can support the streaming of online video for up to 12 hours, 15 hours of internet surfing, or 60 hours of music playing via headphones.

Equipped with a 13 MP rear camera, the Huawei MediaPad X2 is outstanding in low-light shooting. It features a post-shooting focus adjustment metering mode, focus and exposure metering, and off-screen snapping functionality. The 5 MP front-facing camera has an aperture of F2.4 and a wide-angle of 22mm, ideal for selfie lovers going after the perfect panoramic shot.

The MediaPad X2 supports a 2.4G dual-WI-Fi antenna. Dual-MIC reducing noise technology guarantees call quality for business users in all circumstances and scenarios.

The Huawei MediaPad X2 comes in two variants: 2G RAM+ 16G ROM version on a moonlight silver color and 3G RAM + 32 GB storage in amber-gold color. There is no word on pricing or availability yet.
