Huawei – the dongle and smartphone OEM company from China, has unveiled a new mobile WiFi router, the EC5373. Sister model of E5373, the Huawei EC5373 supports both TD-LTE and FDD-LTE networks. It comes with model number Huawei EC5373u-819 in China, locked to China Telecom.

Clearly speaking, I have not tested this device for unlocking, but sure it will be similar to its variant E5373 (For unlock code charges refer this article).

The mobile WiFi router is equipped with Qualcomm MDM9X25 chipset and features LTE Cat 4, which provides download speed up to 150 Mbps, while upload speed limit is 50 Mbps. Supported bands are TD-LTE B38 (2600MHz) / B41 (2500MHz), FDD-LTE Band 1/3 (1800 / 2100mhz), CDMA BC0 / BC1, WCDMA 850/900/1900/2100MHz and GSM @ B8 (900MHz) / B3 (1800MHz) / B2(1900MHz)

The internet of the device can be shared with up to 11 WiFi enabled devices simultaneously. It comes with two external antenna connectors and supports WiFi 802.11.b/g/n. It has a powerful 1500mAH battery, that is rated for 6 hours of working, while it can provide you standby time up to 300 hrs when WiFi will be off.

You can purchase one for you from aliexpress with a price of US US $115. It is available in Black and White variant colours, is equipped with a LED display. The whole dimension of the pocked MiFi is 93.5 x 57.1 x 12.8 mm and weights 82 gms including its battery. It has also a microSD card slot that can be upgraded with upto 32GB of external TF.
