Huawei has launched a new smartphone, Ascend Mate 7, at IFA 2014, along with Ascend G7. The Ascend Mate 7 will be available in Obsidian black, Moonlight silver, and Amber gold color options.
Huawei has confirmed that the phone will be released in 30 markets during this quarter, starting with countries like China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Spain, and the UK. The 16GB variant will be priced at EUR 499 (Roughly Rs 39,000), while the 32GB variant will be available for EURO 599 (Roughly Rs 47,000).
Huawei Ascend Mate 7 comes with a fingerprint scanner at the back, and according to the company, it supports up to five sets of different fingerprints in regular and guest modes.
It is a single SIM phablet and running on Android 4.4 KitKat OS with EMUI 3.0 on top. It features a 6-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) IPS touchscreen display with 368ppi with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
The Ascend Mate 7 is powered by an octa-core (1.8GHz A15 + 1.3GHz A7) Kirin 925 SoC with Mali T628 GPU and 2GB / 3G of RAM (16 GB / 32 GB variant). The internal storage is expandable via an external microSD card (up to 32GB).
The phablet houses a 13-megapixel rear camera with Sony’s fourth-generation BSI sensor, f/2.0 aperture, and LED flash. There is also a 5-megapixel front-facing camera onboard for video calling and selfie.
In terms of connectivity options, the Huawei Ascend Mate 7 includes; Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS/ A-GPS, 3G, and 4G LTE Cat 6 connectivity. It packs a 4100mAh Li-Polymer battery, measures 157x81x7.9mm, and weighs 185 grams.
