HTC One M9+ with 5.2-inch Quad HD display, Fingerprint reader announced

HTC has launched a new version of its flagship One M9, the One M9+. It was officially announced at an event in Beijing; however, there is no pricing available. The smartphone comes in Gold, Gunmetal Grey, and Silver variant colors and will go on sale in China soon. HTC will also sell the Dot View Case for the smartphone separately.

HTC One M9 PlusHTC One M9+ features a 5.2-inch Quad HD (1440 x 2560 pixels) touchscreen and comes with a fingerprint sensor below the display for secure lock and payments. It has multi-directional sensors that let you place your finger on the sensor in any direction to unlock your phone, says HTC.

HTC One M9 Plus - Black ColourThe One M9+ is powered by a 64-Bit 2.2GHz Octa-Core MediaTek Helio X10 (MT6795T) processor and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with HTC Sense 7 UI on top. It also features China Sense for Chinese customers that lets you set different themes and also create themes.

The HTC One M9+ houses a 20.7-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash, also a secondary rear camera to capture depth information. It is also equipped with an Ultrapixel front-facing camera. It boasts 3GB of RAM and PowerVR G6200 GPU.

The connectivity options include in HTC One M9+ phablet are Dual BoomSound speakers with Dolby audio, 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/ac/b/g/n (dual-band 2.4 and 5 GHz), Bluetooth, and GPS with GLONASS. It also packs a powerful 2840mAh battery.
