HTC had unveiled the Desire 826 earlier this month at CES 2015. It has been launched in China. The 16GB storage model is priced at CNY 2,299 (Roughly Rs 22,600), while the 32GB storage variant will cost CNY 2,499 (About Rs 24,500).
The Desire 826 will be available to buy starting Thursday from the HTC Eshop website. Notably, it is also listed on India’s company website without a price tag and its availability details.
The 4G-enabled Desire 826 smartphone will be available in two variants (single-SIM and dual-SIM), depending upon the country. It runs the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop with HTC’s Sense UI on top and has a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display.
The Desire 826 is powered by an octa-core (1.5GHz x 4 and 1.0GHz x 4) 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, coupled with Adreno 405 GPU and 2GB of RAM. It sports a 13-megapixel (f/2.2) rear camera with a 28mm lens, BSI sensor, and LED flash, while there is a 4-UltraPixel shooter front shooter is also available for a selfie.
The 16GB/ 32GB of inbuilt storage on HTC Desire 826 is further expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB). Connectivity options include 4G LTE (dual-4G), Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS/ A-GPS, and Micro-USB. It is backed by a 2600mAh battery, at 7.5mm thickness, its weight is155 grams. The handset comes in two-tone colors, including White Birch, Blue Lagoon, and Purple Fire variant colors.
