HP has listed a new budget tablet in its France store, called HP Slate 8 Plus, priced at EUR 299 (According to Indian currency, it will be Approx Rs 24500).
The HP Slate 8 Plus sports an 8-inch capacitive touch screen display with 800×1280 pixels of resolution and 16 M colors. The HP Slate 8 Plus is powered by a Hisilicon Balong V9R1 quad-core processor, which is clocked at 1.6GHz of speed and coupled with 1 GB of RAM.
The tablet comes with 16 GB of internal storage, is expandable via an external memory card of 32 GB capacity. The Slate 8 Plus houses a 5-megapixel rear primary camera. Also, a 1 MP frontal camera is available; SIM voice calling is not mentioned; however, you can make a video call through its software.
The HP Slate 8 Plus runs on outdated Google Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS out-of-the-box. WiFi 802.11 b/ g/ n, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, Headphones 3.5mm, Micro-USB, 3G and GSM are main connectivity options. The handset comes with Proximity and Accelerometer sensors. There are no further specs available.
