I have already covered the unlocking of Huawei E5377 and E5330 PTCL Pakistani 4G LTE MiFi hotspot router. But, with new devices, this trick does not work anymore. PTCL has put customized WebUI, and the device does not prompt for entering unlock code.
I tried to unlock it using Huawei HiLink (Mobile WiFi) tool since the Huawei HiLink (Mobile WiFi) software is created by Huawei to manage the devices through smartphones, but no luck with E5377u-872. Hilink Huawei modems are built of HiSilicon chip, and it works on RNDIS technology, which does not require any driver installation, so it does not create a COM port on the PC when you connect it to a PC with a USB cable.
Now, the problem is that, since it does not have any COM port, all AT commands work with the only COM port. This means you cannot use any Huawei code writer/send tool.
But, finally, it could be unlocked using some freeware tools. I used Huawei HiSilicon Firmware Writer, DC-unlocker, and Huawei Hi-link drivers.
How long we need to wait for a Huawei unlock code?
The approximate delivery time for a Huawei unlock code is 10 minutes to 8 hrs.
The average response time for a Huawei unlock code is 30 minutes (based on last 100 orders).
How to Unlock Customized Huawei E5377u-872 PTCL Pakistani 4G MiFi Router?
1. First, download all three freeware mentioned above (Huawei HiSilicon Firmware Writer, DC-Unlocker, and Huawei Hi-link drivers).
2. Now, run Huawei HiSilicon Firmware Writer and detect the Huawei E5377u-872.
3. In this process, one COM port will be enabled and marked in yellow. Now, download hi-link drivers and update it.
4. Now, detect the device under DC-Unlocker, which you have already downloaded.
5. Detect the device, DC-Unlocker. It will show the Application and Diagnostic port. This means you have correctly done above all the procedures.
6. Issue the following command:
AT^CARDLOCK=”UNLOCK CODE”
Note: Replace UNLOCK CODE with your code corresponding to the IMEI.
If you get OK on the screen, then start dancing around the room. It is unlocked forever.
Above mentioned tricks can be used with all Huawei devices which do not have any COM ports and do not ask you for an unlock code / NCK.
Unlock code is not free; you have to pay. Interested then place an order and mention model with IMEI in the transaction.
