Gionee has not yet confirmed the exact release date of its upcoming mid-range smartphone, Marathon M4. It will soon be released as the company revealed on its Facebook page that the smartphone would be launched this month.
The China-based smartphone maker Gionee Monday posted a photo with a caption that reads: “M4 is here! Let’s meet in June. Always in power #GioneeM4.” The post revealed the first look of the device and exposes some of its key features, like its marathon battery, LTE support, and metal design.
The Gionee Marathon M4 comes with 4G LTE connectivity and is powered by a strong 5000 mAh battery and a Metal design. The company also says that the device will have an incredible talk time of 65 hours, standby time of 463 hours (more than 19 days), and a game time of 13 hours.
Android Headlines says that the Gionee Marathon M4 is expected to feature a 5-inch HD screen with a 720p display, powered by a MediaTek processor clocking at 1.3GHz, and come packed with 1GB of RAM.
Meanwhile, Phone Arena claimed in a report that the device might come with 16 GB of internal memory, 1.5 GB RAM, 8 MP main camera, and 5 MP front snapper. Its report on screen size and display is in sync with the report of Android Headlines.
It is expected that the device will be priced below $300 considering the price of the Marathon M3, which is currently available at around $200.
I am also expecting that this time Gionee will have Android 5.0 Lollipop OS in Marathon M4.
