The Flame Developer reference phone is currently on its way to developers who either are Mozillians, bought them, or have created apps for it. You can buy the flame device online at everbuying, for $170, including postage and packing and worldwide delivery.

The Flame is both bootloader and carrier unlocked, so you can install any software you want and use it with any SIM card anywhere in the world.

The RAM is adjustable from 256MB to 1GB, allowing you to replicate various performance levels to test the OS and apps.

The Flame smartphone runs on Firefox OS V1.3, powered by MSM8210 Chipset, 1.2GHz Dual-Core processor with 1GB of RAM. The handset comes with 8 GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded with up to 32GB of memory card.

The Flame houses a 5 MP rear camera with autofocus and flash, while a 2MP frontal camera is also available for 3G video calling and selfie.

Flame sports a 4.5-inches Capacitive FWVGA (854 x 480) display. It had a Dual SIM slot with Dual Standby features. Measuring 132 x 68 x 10 mm / 5.2 x 2.7 x 0.4 inches, the Flame weighs 0.12 kg. It also packs a 1800mAh Battery. WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, 3.5mm jack, USB, Accelerometer sensor, FM, Proximity Sensing, GPS W / A-GPS support, Light Sensing and NFC are main connectivity options.
