380

FileASSASSIN is made by Malwarebytes, which has provided an excellent Anti-Malware program. It attempts to unlock the files handles, unload modules, kill the related process, and optionally delete the file using the built-in unlocking method. There is an option to mark the file for delete on reboot or delete the file.

The freeware app FileASSASSIN is available in both formats: portable and installer versions. Just launch the program, browse for a file, or drag &and drop a file into the FileASSASSIN window. Select the unlock and delete option checkboxes and click the “Execute” button.

Once you press Execute button, it will process the file according to the selection. This software is compatible with Windows XP but works with Windows 10 too.

If you want to get rid of from “Cannot delete file: Access is denied,” “Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use,” “The source or destination file may be in use” or “The file is in use by another program or user” error message, this freeware program will help you.

These messages generally appear when you’re trying to delete files deposited by a malware infection, though occasionally, a file goes on lockdown. Whatever the reason for the file, it can be easily removed. You can download it from here.

If you want Windows 10 compatible unlocker app, then IObit Unlocker may be the best choice for you. It also works like Fileassassin, and if a file cannot be deleted while running Windows, it will delete in the reboot process.

You may try out Wise Force Deleter that lets you delete the locked files by any Windows process.
