Right-click context menu is a time-saving feature of Windows operating systems. With the Context Menu’s help, you can easily do a lot without requiring them to put it up on their Desktop. This context menu functionality can be enhanced by adding more commands like Copy Filename, Paste Filename, Copy FileName and Delete, Extract Folder, etc. ExtraBits is a freeware that allows you to perform this task with ease.

ExtraBits extension of the Windows File Explorer lets you add some new additional commands to perform specific actions while managing files and folders on your computer. Basically, ExtraBits adds a sub-menu to the File Explorer context menu displaying new commands for use when the user performs a right-click on a folder.

ExtraBits adds the following commands:

Copy Filenames: It allows to copy the full path to the clipboard. Just hold down Shift while selecting the command to copy the full path.

Copy Filenames and Delete: It is a useful command for substituting a file name with another. The action can be followed with the “Paste Filename” command on another file.

Paste Filename: It renames a file with the text on the clipboard.

Copy Filenames with Options: It displays a dialog that offers multiple control over how the text copied is formatted. You can also store presets to let yourself quickly select the formats you use most frequently.

Multi-Rename: It allows to rename of multiple files at once.

Extract Folder: It removes a folder but not its contents.

Delete Empty Folders: This option automatically acts as finding and removing empty folders.
