Elephone has unveiled a new smartphone, dubbed as Elephone S2. It is listed in the company website of HongKong without pricing and its availability details. It is scheduled to be released on 10 June and is expected to be priced up to $149.99.
The Elephone S2 comes with double-side glass and has diamond texture back cover. It will be available in dark blue colour running on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. The smartphone is powered by a 64-bit MediaTek MT6735 quad-core CPU based on the ARM Cortex-A53 64-bit processor with ARM Mali-T720 graphics core.
The Elephone S2 features 4G LTE and supports FDD-LTE band 1/3/7/20 (800/1800/2100/2600). It is equipped with 2GB of RAM and also a 16GB built-in storage that is further expandable with up to 32GB of microSD card. It features a 5-inch (1280*720 pixels resolution / 294 PPI) HD IPS display.
The S2 smartphone houses a 13-megapixel auto-focus rear shooter with flash and also boasts a 2-megapixel front-facing snapper for selfies/video calling. It is backed by a 2100mAh Li-Pol non-removable battery that can deliver up to 400-500 min talk-time and up to 250-300h of standby life.
The Elephone S2 supports Gravity sensor / Accelerator sensor / Proximity sensor / Light sensor. In terms of connectivity options, the device include GPS, A-GPS, FM Radio, WiFi, hotspot, Bluetooth and FM Radio. It also supports dual-micro-SIM with dual standby mode.
