Elephone P5000 with 5-inch Display, Octa-Core SoC and 5350mAH Battery

Elephone will soon release a flagship smartphone, dubbed as P5000. The handset is listed on the company website with full specs.

The Elephone P5000 is a dual-SIM based 3G handset that packs a 5350mAH Li-poly battery rated for up to 960 mins of talk-time and 45 days of standby. It features a big 5-inch HD IPS display with 1920*1080 pixels of resolution and 440 PPI. It is powered by a MediaTek MT6592 quad-core 1.7GHz processor.

The P5000 comes with ARM MALI-450 MP4 GPU and 2 GB of RAM, which runs Android v4.4.2 KitKat OS, but no word about Android 5.0 Lollipop. The phone has 16 GB of internal storage and further expandable with up to 64 GB MicroSD card. It houses a 16-megapixel rear camera and also boasts a big 8-megapixel front camera for selfies.

In terms of connectivity options, the Elephone P5000 includes FM Radio, WiFi, Bluetooth v4.0, micro-USB, Mobile hotspot, USB OTG, 3G, GPS, and AGPS. It also features Fingerprint, FOTA, and NFC. The handset measures 144*71*9.3mm dimensions, but no word about weight. It supports proximity, ambient light, accelerometer, and e-compass sensors.
