Dell Venue 8 7000 – the World’s Thinnest Android Based Tablet

Dell Venue 8 7000 is the world’s thinnest tablet features a gorgeous 8.4-inch OLED (2560×1600 pixels resolution) touch screen, depth mapping, and smart albums. The device will be available this November in the US.

Dell Venue 8 7000PCWorld says, “There’s a lot to like about its paper-thin design and its 3D-sensing camera that is for more than just selfies.” CNET calls the Dell Venue 8 7000 “the tablet camera of the future.”

Dell Venue 8 7000 houses an 8-megapixel RealSense camera and a Gallery app that gives you full advantage of the 3D snapper. It has a dual camera that combines with an IR sensor and able to take pictures with depth. Notably, the Dell Venue 8 7000 is the first tablet to sport such technology.

The Dell Venue 8 7000 is powered by a quad-core Intel Atom Z3500 processor and coupled with 2GB of RAM and has 16 GB of internal storage. The slate is running on Android 4.4 KitKat OS.

It comes with an optional Dell Cast adapter – to project to a TV or monitor or turn a screen into your desktop and connect with a keyboard and mouse to use your tablet as a PC.

The Dell has not revealed the price and its availability details, listed as coming soon.
