The Cube i7 Stylus includes a Wacom-made digitizer layer in its 10.6-inch screen, and with a Wacom Pen, it offer a variety of functions you can’t get with a normal capacitive touchscreen. The most important feature that the Wacom-based digitizer layer here offers is the ability to detect 1024 levels of pressure. The screen doesn’t detect how much pressure you’re putting on it — instead, the tip of the pen retracts as you push down harder on the screen, and the digitizer layer can detect a difference in signals. Also, when you’re using your stylus to draw on your screen, the tablet can perform “palm rejection,” ignoring your touches and allowing your palm to rest on the screen. Even better, the Wacom stylus doesn’t need to include a battery, so you won’t have to worry about charging it.
The Cube i7 Stylus is powered by a Intel Broadwell Core-M 5Y10c processor and coupled with 4GB DDR3L of RAM. It features a 10.6-inch IPS IGZO touchscreen display with 1920 x 1080 pixels of resolution. The built-in 64GB SSD is further expandable via up to 32 GB microSD card .
The i7 Stylus slate houses a 5-megapixel rear camera and also boasts a 2 Mega Pixel front facing snapper for selfies/video calling. In terms of connectivity options, the device include 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, micro-USB, Mobile hotspot, GPS/AGPS, HDMI and 3.5mm audio jack. It has single SIM slot.
The i7 Stylus will be on sale on JD.com on June 18th, at the price of RMB1,999 ($322), but the keyboard base and the Wacom pen are sold separately.
