Croma Indian Retailer, with the partnership with Intel, has launched a Windows 8.1 powered tablet. Croma 1179 will be available in India with a tag price of Rs 13,990. The tablets will be available through Croma’s retail stores as well as an official website. Croma executives also informed that the company would sell the tablet through another online partner shortly.
The Croma 1179 slate runs on Windows 8.1 OS out-of-the-box, and it is powered by a quad-core Intel Atom Z3735D ‘Bay Trail-T’ processor, which is clocked at 1.33GHz of speed and coupled with 2GB of RAM.
The Croma 1179 tablet features an 8-inch (1280×800 pixels) touchscreen display with 160ppi pixel density.
The Croma 1179 houses a 2-megapixel rear camera without flash, while it also firms a 2-megapixel frontal camera for video chatting. It comes with 32 GB of built-in storage, which can be further expanded with a MicroSD card.
This Croma tablet is built with a 5000mAh lithium-polymer battery. It has a single 2G SIM slot; the internet can also be accessed with the help of WiFi or an external 3G dongle.
Along with Wi-FI, Bluetooth and Micro-USD are additional connectivity options in Croma 1179 tablet. It has Proximity and Accelerometer sensors.
