Cherry Mobile has launched an affordable octa-core smartphone in the Philippines, the ME Vibe. It can be purchased in the country through Lazda for only ₱ 3,999.
The Cherry Mobile ME Vibe sports a 5.5-inch qHD IPS display with 540 x 960 pixels of resolution and is powered by MediaTek’s MT6592M chipset, alongside a 1.4GHz octa-core processor and 1GB of RAM. It is further combined with Mali 450 MP GPU.
The ME Vibe runs Android 4.4 Kitkat OS, which is compatible with Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. The phone supports dual-SIM (WCDMA+GSM) with dual standby and has an 8GB expandable internal storage (up to 32 GB MicroSD card).
The ME Vibe houses a 13-megapixel auto-focus rear camera with LED flash and boasts a 2-megapixel front camera for selfies. Only a 1800mAh Li-ion battery backs it. In terms of connectivity options, the handset includes FM Radio, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth V3.0, micro-USB V2.0, mobile hotspot, GPS, A-GPS, and 3.5mm audio jack. It measures 14.5 x 6.8 x 0.69 cm with a 0.15 KG weight.
