Cherry Mobile of Philippines has launched an octa-core phone in the homeland with a Php 6,999, translating to the US $156 or Rs 9700 in the current exchange rate.
Powered by a 1.4GHz MediaTek MT6592 octa-core processor, the Infinix Pure XL comes with 1GB RAM and runs the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS. The smartphone also features a big 5.5-inch HD IPS touchscreen display with vast 1280 x 720 pixels of resolution and 267ppi pixels of density.
The Cherry Mobile Infinix Pure XL includes 8GB built-in internal storage, alongside an expansion slot (up to 32 GB). It houses a huge 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and packs a 2-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calling. In terms of connectivity options, the handset includes 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, A-GPS, dual-SIM (WCDMA+GSM) with dual standby, hotspot, USB OTG, 3.5mm ear-jack, and 2600mAh battery.
