There are so many free tools available over the internet to create a bootable USB disk. Windows 7 USB/DVD download tool is the most popular app that supports the latest Windows 10 ISO. TransMac is the tool that lets you create a bootable USB disk of macOS Sierra. If you don’t want to use any tool, you can do the same using the command prompt.
Passcape ISO Burner is another free application that lets you create CD/DVD and USB disks from ISO images. With this software’s help, you can create bootable disks of WinPE, BartPE, Windows Installation, and Reset Windows Password. It is portable, which means there is no need to install it. It is also compatible with most CD/DVD recorders and USB devices, including Memory Stick, Compact Flash, SmartMedia, Secure Digital, USB flash drives, USB ZIP drives, USB Hard Disk drives, etc.
Once you launch Passcape ISO Burner, you can choose from :
- Burn ISO image to CD/DVD
- Burn ISO image to CD/DVD using external CD burning program
- Create bootable USB disk
- Unpack ISO image to disk folder
Once you selected the appropriate option, locate the ISO file.
In my case, we have selected the option to Create a USB bootable disk. Once the USB disk is inserted into the PC, click on Refresh the list, it will automatically detect it. Finally, click the Create button to start burning the ISO image to a USB disk.
Once the bootable USB disk is ready, installing a fresh Windows operating system or repair makes the appropriate changes in BIOS and starts using it.
It is compatible with Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, and Windows 10, including 32-bit and 64-bit OS.
