Asus has unveiled Zenfone Zoom in CES 2015. According to the company it will be available in market for $399 before taxes.

Asus says about Zenfone Zoom “ZenFone Zoom is engineered to embed 10-element lenses for 3X Optical Zoom while still keep the device as thin as 11.95mm. It’s the world’s thinnest 3X optical smartphone offering up to 12X zoom-in effect.”

The Asus Zenfone Zoom is running on ASUS ZenUI with Android 5.0 Lollipop OS at the back. It has up to 128GB internal storage (depend upon country) and ASUS also offers 5GB (lifetime) web-storage at purchase of this smartphone.

The Zenfone Zoom sports a 5.5-inch Full HD display with 1920 x 1080 pixels of resolution and 403ppi. The screen is featured with IPS, 400 nits brightness and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It houses 5MP front camera with f/2.0-aperture, wide-angle (88-degree) lens with Pano Selfie. It also houses a 13MP rear camera with f/2.7- to 4.8-aperture, 10-element lenses with 3X optical zoom, optical image stabilization (OIS), laser auto-focus and dual-color Real Tone flash.

The Asus Zenfone Zoom features 4G LTE connectivity and supports FDD LTE: 1/2/3/4/5/7/8/9/17/18/19/20/28/29 and TDD LTE: 38/39/40/41(Network support varies by country) network bands. In its peak of the network, it is able to download a file with up to 150Mbps speed and upload is also possible up to 50Mbps. It is backed by a 3000mAh lithium-polymer battery.

Zenfone Zoom supports a set of sensors like : accelerometer, proximity, ambient-light, gyroscopic, digital compass and Hall-effect. Connectivity options include GPS / A-GPS / GLONASS, WiFi 802.11ac, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0, 3.5mm audio jack , micro USB (support OTG) and dual micro SIM.

The Asus Zenfone Zoom measures 158.9 x 78.84 x 11.95 mm and weight is 185 gms. It will be available in Meteorite black /Glacier white variant colours.
