Asus has unveiled ZenFone Selfie smartphone alongside its next-generation ZenWatch 2 and the new ZenPad tablets at Computex 2015 in Taipei. The Taiwanese company has also unveiled new ZenFone 2 models featuring Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets instead of the Intel chipsets.
According to Mobile Geeks, Asus has launched the new ZenFone 2 ZE500KL, ZenFone 2 ZE550KL, and ZenFone 2 ZE600KL smartphones at Computex. It also claims that the company revealed a smaller ZenFone 2 model featuring Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor; however details are limited. As of now, there is no word on the pricing and availability of the new ZenFone 2 models.
The ZenFone 2 ZE500KL features a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS display and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. It has also 16GB of built-in storage that is further expandable using microSD card. It will be also available in 3G RAM variant with 32GB inbuilt storage. The phone houses a 13-megapixel rear camera and also packs a 5-megapixel front camera.
The ZenFone 2 ZE550KL sports a 5.5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS display and boasts a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, alongside 2GB of RAM. It comes with 16GB built-in storage and 3000mAh battery. The smartphone also houses a 13-megapixel rear and sports a 5-megapixel front camera.
The ZenFone 2 ZE600KL features a 6-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS display and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor. It will be also available in two variants – one with 16GB inbuilt storage and 2GB of RAM, while others will have 3GB of RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage. It also packs a 3000mAh battery, houses a 13-megapixel rear and boasts a 5-megapixel front camera.
All the three variants features laser-autofocus and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. Till now, it is unclear that these will have dual-SIM support or not. We expect that it will run on Android 5.x Lollipop OS.
