A new 64GB storage variant of the Asus ZenFone 2 (ZE551ML) has been confirmed by the Taiwanese company. Asus in a even in its homeland revealed pricing of the new ZenFone 2 series alongside unveiling new variants of the handset.
The Asus ZenFone 2 ZE551ML with 4GB of RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage will be available with a tag price TWD 9,990 (Roughly Rs. 19,900). It will be available in Taiwan starting March 23 alongside the Asus ZenFone 2 ZE551ML (4GB RAM and 32GB ROM), which price is TWD 8,990 (Roughly Rs. 18,000).
The Asus ZenFone 2 ZE551ML (2GB RAM) is priced at TWD 6,990 (Roughly Rs. 13,900); Asus ZenFone 2 ZE550ML at TWD 5,990 (Roughly Rs. 11,900), and Asus ZenFone 2 ZE500CL is priced at TWD 4,990 (Roughly Rs. 9,900).
According to WhatsOnTech, Asus Taiwan has started taking pre-orders for the ZenFone 2 ZE550ML and ZenFone 2 ZE500CL, which are expected to ship starting March 25.
Apart from Taiwan, the Asus ZenFone 2 will be available in China, Hong Kong, Singapore and France starting in March while other countries such as Italy and other Southeast Asian including India will have these smartphone in April. The Asus ZenFone 2 will be also released in Brazil, but in June.
The Asus ZenFone 2 ZE551ML, will be available in three variants – 2GB LPDDR3 RAM with 32GB ROM, 4GB LPDDR3 RAM with 32GB ROM and 4GB LPDDR3 RAM with 64GB ROM. All these support expandable storage via microSD card (up to 64GB).
All variants of the Asus ZenFone 2 smartphone run the company’s new ZenUI, which is based on Google’s Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. Last week in Taiwan, Asus has also launched new accessories named ZenFlash and LolliFlash.
