Asus has introduced a new tablet, VivoTab 8 (M81C), without price and its availability details.

The new Asus VivoTab 8 (M81C) sports an 8-inch WXGA (1280×800 pixels) LED-backlit IPS display and running on Windows 8.1 OS platform out-of-the-box. The tab is powered by a 64-bit quad-core Intel Atom Z3745 processor, which is clocked at 1.8GHz CPU, coupled with 1GB / 2GB of RAM.

The VivoTab 8 (M81C) comes with 32GB of inbuilt storage, which is expandable via microSD card (up to 64GB). The company is also offering 5GB Life Time Asus Webstorage Space along with an additional 11GB free storage for the first year. The VivoTab 8 (M81C) houses a 2-megapixel rear camera and also a secondary 2MP front-facing camera onboard.

In terms of connectivity, the VivoTab 8 (M81C) includes GPS/ A-GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0. The slate packs a 15.2Wh battery that is rated to deliver up to 8 hours of mixed usage.
