Asus is planning to launch the Mini Chrome OS computer in India officially. The product has been listed on its official website of India with a “Coming Soon” note. However, the firm has not revealed the prices and its availability yet.
According to the official website, the Asus Mini Chrome OS computer runs on Google’s Chrome operating system out-of-the-box. It will come in three variant CPU models – Intel Core i7-4600U Processor or Intel Core i3-4010U Processor or Intel Celeron 2955U Processor.
Asus Mini Chrome OS computer is powered with an Intel HD Graphics 4000/4400 GPU card. However, the company confirms that integrated Intel HD Graphics 4400 supports will be with Intel Core i7-4600U and i3-4010U Processors. The handset will boast 1GB of RAM from 2 GB to 4 GB DDR3 at 1600MHz. It comes with a built-in 16 GB M.2 (NGFF) SSD, but no word about expandable or not.
WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth V4.0, and LAN Card 10/100/1000 Mbps are the main connectivity options in Mini Chrome OS Computer. It has one 2 -in-1 Card Reader and Kensington Lock as side ports. It features two 2 x USB 3.0 ports in the front. While it has 2 x USB 3.0, 1 x HDMI, 1 x RJ45 LAN, 1 x DC-in, 1 x Display and 1 x Audio Jack(s) (Mic in/Headphone-out) port in back.
It measures 12.4 x 12.4 x 4.19 cm (WxDxH) dimension, while weight is 0.6 kg (1.32 lb). Asus Mini Chrome OS computer will be available in Midnight Blue color.
Keyboard and mouse can also be used in selected models; however, Asus has not mentioned the model.
