The Taiwanese giant Asus has launched its two new Android-based tablets in India, the Fonepad 7 (FE171CG) and the MeMO Pad 8 (ME581C).

Both, ASUS Fonepad 7 and MeMO Pad 8 slates runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS with Asus’ ZenUI on top, and has a 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, and 3G.

The ASUS Fonepad 7 (FE171CG) is equipped with dual-SIM slots for voice-calling and packs a big 7-inch LED-backlight IPS (1,024 x 600 pixels resolution) display. It supports up to 64GB of microSD card and boasts a 1.2GHz dual-core Intel Clover Trail+ Z2520 processor. It houses an 8MP autofocus rear shooter with PixelMaster technology and also a 2MP front camera on-board.

The Asus MeMO Pad 8 (ME581CL) sports an 8-inch LED-backlight IPS (1,920 x 1,200 pixels resolution) display with Corning Gorilla Glass and an anti-fingerprint coating for protection. The slate also supports stylus input and features 4G LTE. The tab boasts a 1.83GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3560 processor and packs an an IMG PowerVR Series 6 G6430 GPU.

It has a 5MP autofocus rear camera and a 1.2MP front shooter. Asus is also offering 5GB of lifetime Webstorage space with an additional 11GB for the first year with the purchase of MeMO Pad 8.

Both handsets, the Asus Fonepad 7 and the MeMO Pad 8 will be exclusively available on Flipkart in India, priced at Rs. 10,999 and Rs. 19,999. Previous comes in black and white variant, while further comes in metallic blue, pink, and pearl white hues.
