Salora international has announced a new brand, Arya in India, and under this brand the company has launched its first smartphone, Arya Z2. The budget phone has been priced in India at Rs 6999 and will be available online starting 12PM on 22 Sep 2014.

The Arya Z2 comes under 7.55 mm slim chassis and sports a 5-inch HD IPS LCD touchscreen display with 720p resolution. It is powered by an 1.3 GHz MediaTek MT6582 Quad-Core processor, clubbed with 1 GB RAM and coupled with 4 GB ROM. The internal storage can be upgraded with an external microSD card, however, the firm is also providing 8GB memory card free with the device.

The Arya Z2 houses an 8-megapixel (Interpolated to 13MP) auto-focus rear-facing camera with a Sony BSI sensor and LED flash. For selfies and video calling, the handset offers a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter. It boasts an 1800 mAh battery, which is rated for 8 hours of 3G talk time.

In terms of connectivity options, the Z2 includes; EDGE, GPRS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.5 mm audio jack, GPS, A-GPS and USB OTG; while it is running on the latest Android 4.4 KitKat OS.
