Good News for all ALCATEL ONETOUCH IDOL X+ customers – Android Kitkat 4.4 upgrade is now available from this 15th August for existing Jelly Bean customers. The Alcatel company confirms this news from its Facebook page.
The IDOL X+ comes with a 5-inch HD IPS display, a Black Crystal touch panel, Corning Gorilla glass 2, NEG glass, Oleophobic coating, a Capacitive touch screen, Multi-touch 5 points, and OGS with Full lamination. It is powered by Octa-Core CPU and MediaTek MT6592 chipset with ARM Mali450 GPU, clocked at 2 GHz speed, alongside 2GB of RAM.
The flagship smartphone was launched with Android Jelly Bean 4.2 OS, which was a major drawback. Now from tomorrow, Alcatel Onetouch Idol X+ will be updated to the latest Android KitKat 4.4.4. The company will push over-the-air firmware update from tomorrow, August 15.
