Alcatel has unveiled the One Touch Idol X+ in India, with a tag price of Rs. 16,999. The phone has been exclusively launched on Flipkart and will be available soon on the e-commerce online website from June 3.
The One Touch Idol X+ is an upgraded model of Idol X. The IDOL X+ sports 5” Full HD IPS 1080 x 1920 pixels, 16M color display, Black Crystal touch panel, Corning Gorilla glass 2, NEG glass, Oleophobic coating, Capacitive touch screen, Multi-touch 5 points, and OGS with Full lamination. The display also supports proximity and light sensors.
The Idol X+ boasts Octa-Core CPU and MediaTek MT6592 chipset with ARM Mali450 GPU, clocked at 2 GHz speed, alongside 2GB of RAM. Idol X+ highest download speed at HSDPA is 21Mbps, or you can upload a file with a speed of 5.76Mbps in HSUPA.
The Idol X+ boasts a 13.1 Mpx rear camera, along with Auto-Focus and digital zoom, alongside a 2 Mpxl FHD frontal camera that supports LED Flash. The device can capture a video at 1080p@30fps and able to play at 2160p@30fps. H.265, H.264, H.263, MPEG-4, XVID, VP8, VC-1 video codes are supported, along with Video stabilization, LTL Panorama features.
The Idol X+ runs on Android Jelly Bean 4.2 OS out-of-the-box. Connectivity options Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi Display, DLNA, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP, stereo FM radio, Micro USB 2.0, GPS with A-GPS, E-compass, and G-sensor are supported.
The Alcatel Onetouch Idol X+ featured a 16 GB ROM; out of this storage, 12.3 GB is free for users. The internal storage can be upgraded up to 32 GB using an external microSD card. The handset comes pre-installed with Gameloft Live, Asphalt7, Real Football 2014, Danger Dash, Little Big City, Uno & Friends games.
The phone is powered with two Micro SIM card slot, features Dual SIM with Dual Standby. Handsfree and Flip to Mute are other highlights of Idol X+.
The cellphone houses a 2500mAh Lithium battery, able to provide talk time up to 27h(2G) / 16h(3G) or standby time up to 650h(2G) / 600h(3G). The Idol X+ battery can be fully charged in 3 hrs; once charged, it could deliver the music for up to 36 hrs.

Measuring the Idol X+, its dimension is 140.4 x 69.1 x 8.1mm, weighs 125g, the ultra-trim handset that is just 7.9 millimeters thin.
The “0” bezel and borderless, 2.4-millimeter edge-to-edge design means that the pictures and videos fill the available space. The full HD IPS display offers a 170-degree viewing angle, making the IDOL X+ the best smartphone to show off pictures and videos to friends and family. The perfectly designed side speakers produce loud quality sound, supporting SACD’s 24bit/192KHz playback, which is four times better than a CD.
