Alcatel has announced a new smartphone, the OneTouch IDOL 3, at MWC 2015. It will be made available in two variant sizes – 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch.
The unique feature of the phone is that it is “reversible” and users can speak when the top side is down. The reversible feature allows the interface to adjust whether you pick up the phone upside down or right-side up.
The Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3 features JBL sound with two front-facing speakers and Clari-Fi technology and technicolor Color Enhance technology. The smaller variant of the device will sport a 4.7-inch display with 1280×720 pixels of resolution and will be powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor.
The handset runs Android 5.0, Lollipop OS with the help of 1GB of RAM. The 16GB built-in storage is further expandable with up to 128GB with MicroSD card. It houses a 13MP rear snapper and also boasts a 5MP front-facing camera for selfie and video calling. The phone is backed by a 2000mAh battery, under 134.6 x 65.9 x 7.55 mm dimensions.
On the another hand, the larger variant of Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3, boasts a 5.5-inch touchscreen display with 1920×1080 pixels of resolution and is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor. It is also running on Android 5.0 Lollipop with the help of 2GB of RAM.
The 32GB of internal storage is also expandable with up to 128GB of microSD card. It also houses a 13MP rear shooter and also an 8MP front camera is available for selfies and video calling. Backed by a 2910mAh battery, it comes under 152.7 x 75.14 x 7.4 mm dimensions.
Both sizes models will be available in dual-SIM versions. However, there is no word about its pricing and availability details yet.
