Alcatel OneTouch Fire C with Firefox OS Launched in India with a Price Rs 1990

Alcatel OneTouch has launched the low budget smartphone, the Fire C, which runs on Firefox OS 1.3, available in India for Rs 1990. It will be available in India exclusively through Flipkart.

The Alcatel OneTouch Fire C was introduced earlier this year at the MWC. It sports a 3.5-inches HVGA touchscreen display and is powered by a 1 GHz Spreadtrum 6821 Processor. It houses a 1.3-megapixel rear camera, but no frontal shooter is available. It has 2G (EDGE) connectivity, but Dual SIM (GSM+GSM) supports.

The Firefox OS is based on HTML5, has Adaptive App Search or the Single Window Search, and comes pre-loaded with Facebook, Twitter, and more apps. It also has a Firefox marketplace to download more apps. It supports Indian languages like English, Bangla, Tamil and Hindi.

At the launch, Praveen Valecha, Regional Director, APAC BU India for ALCATEL ONETOUCH, said, “As a launch partner for Firefox OS, we know that our customers love its simple user interface and smooth navigation. We see a great deal of opportunity to bring these benefits to more consumers on a greater variety of devices at the most affordable price, and we are sure of success as it’s an“innovative product selling on Flipkart, India’s largest e-commerce platform.”

The Alcatel OneTouch Fire C has 128 MB RAM and 256 MB of internal storage (65 MB free for the user), which is expandable up to 32 GB with a MicroSD card. The connectivity options include a 3.5mm audio jack, FM Radio, 2G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. It suns the device with 1000 mAh battery.
