Alcatel has launched a new smartphone, the One Touch Flash (6042D) phablet is listed on the Thailand retailer website without a price. The device is expected to be available on Sep 8.
Alcatel One Touch Flash (6042D) features a single-SIM slot and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS out-of-the-box. It features a 5.5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels. The smartphone packs an Octa-core 1.4GHz MediaTek MTK6592M processor coupled with 1GB of RAM.
Onetouch Flash sports a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash, and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera is also available for video calling and selfie. It comes with 8GB of internal storage, further expandable with up to 32 GB via a MicroSD card.
The handset includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS, and 3G in terms of connectivity options. It packs a 3200mAh battery. It has Compass/ Magnetometer, Proximity, and Accelerometer sensors.
Alcatel has released a video and says that One Touch Flash to be a Samsung Galaxy Note killer. The video shows One Touch Flash as an Android robot that fights an evil-looking Note and wins at the end because of its superior specifications. The video also details the Hotknot sharing feature.
