After the launch of the One Touch Hero, Alcatel has unveiled its successor – the One Touch Hero 2 – in IFA 2014. The handset is priced at €350 and is available to buy in Europe.
The Alcatel One Touch Hero 2 runs on the latest Android 4.4 KitKat OS, inside the 6-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) IPS touchscreen display. The screen comes with One Glass Solution (OGS) and Dragontrail Glass technology.
The phablet is powered by a 2GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. One-Touch Hero 2 houses a 13.1-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash and houses a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The camera features optical image and video stabilization and such software features as extended panorama, touch focus, HDR, and burst mode.
The Alcatel One Touch Hero 2 has 16 GB of inbuilt storage, further expandable via a MicroSD card (up to 32 GB). In terms of connectivity options, the smartphone includes 3G, 4G, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB 2.0, GPS/ A-GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and WiFi Direct. The handset is currently available only in the Dark Gray color variant.
OneTouch Hero 2 measures 160.5×81.6×7.9mm, and packs a powerful battery of 3100mAh capacity rated to deliver up to 10 hours of talk time and up to 380 hours of standby time on a 3G network.
The Alcatel One Touch Hero 2 comes with a beautiful stylus and supports the Magic Flip LED case. The case also acts as a virtual DJ mixing deck, as per the company.
