Alcatel’s new smartphone Flash Plus will be available in the Philippines through Lazada from Friday. It is priced at just Php 6,490 (about Rs. 9300 / 146 US Dollar).
The Alcatel Flash Plus is powered by a 1.5GHz MediaTek MT6752M octa-core processor and coupled with 2GB of RAM and Mali T760 MP2 GPU. It features a 5.5-inch HD IPS OGS display with 1280 x 720 pixels of resolution. It has 16 GB of built-in storage that is further expandable via MicroSD.
The Alcatel Flash Plus houses a 13-megapixel rear camera with a Sony IMX214 sensor and sports an 8-megapixel front camera for selfies/video calling. The connectivity options include dual-SIM, dual 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, A-GPS, and USB OTG.
The Flash Plus runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat (upgradable to Android 5.0 Lollipop) and is backed by a 3,500mAh battery. Apart from these good specs, it will be available for Php 6,490 only.
Unbox.ph says the Philippines is the first in six countries in the Asia region where Alcatel is launching the Flash Plus. Those people waiting for offline sales will have to wait for quite a bit – although a representative for Alcatel confirmed that the Flash Plus would be heading to physical stores, they have no solid date when that will happen.
