3G Variant of LG G Pad 8.0 Launched in India with a Price Rs. 17,999

On Aug 14, LG launched 4G LTE variant of G Pad 8.0 in European countries. Now, its 3G variant has been launched in India with a price of Rs 17,999.

LG G Pad 8.0 in IndiaLG’s G Pad 8.0 features an 8-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) WXGA IPS display and is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor that runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) OS with the help of 1GB RAM. It has 16Gb internal storage that is further expandable with up to 64GB of microSD card.

According to an online listing, the without-voice calling slate offers 3G connectivity. It has QPair 2.0 that lets you connect it to other Android-powered tablets and smartphones via Bluetooth to receive notifications of calls and messages on that and respond directly from the G Pad.

The G Pad 8.0 houses a 5MP autofocus rear camera and boasts a 1.3MP front-facing camera for selfies/video calling using Skype. It measures 210.8 x 124.2 x 9.9mm, and its weight is 342g. Apart from 3G, you have options for WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0. It packs a 4200mAh battery.

The device also features Touch and Shoot, which lets you instantly take a snapshot by simply tapping anywhere on the screen to activate the shutter. With the gesture shot feature, the LG tablet allows you to take pictures through your hand gesture. Please raise your hand with an open palm until the front camera detects it, and then make a fist to start a countdown before the shot is taken. The Knock Code feature gives you instant access to your home screen by simply tapping 3 to 8 point customized patterns anywhere on the screen. It offers you more than 86000 possible code combinations.

THE LG G PAD tablet comes with a dual window feature that allows you to split the screen to multitask. It allows you to open two different apps on display and help you drag and drop content from one window to the other.

The LG G Pad 8.0 comes in Black and White colors. However, currently, only the white variant is available with a price of Rs 17,999 in India. It also comes with a free flip cover.
